If stored properly, our chemical products should have a shelf life of 1 year. We have done our best to develop formulas and packaging that ensure that anglers are offered multiple seasons of use prior to the product going bad, and it isn't uncommon for us to see anglers with bottles of Aquel or UV Knot Sense that are 10+ years old. Here are a few suggestions to maximize the lifespan of your Loon products:
- Avoid extreme temperatures. Many products (like our floatants and UV products) can withstand being frozen or left in a car on a hot afternoon. But water-based products (like WB Head Cement or Hard Head) are much more sensitive to freezing. Storing these products at room temperature greatly extends their lifespan.
- Ensure lids are tightly sealed. This may be common sense, but sufficiently tightening lids ensure that desiccants stay arid and liquids don't dry out or harden.
