There are many factors that affect the dry time for Hard Head like temperature, humidity, and thickness of application. Because of this, it’s very difficult to give precise cure times. However, as a rule of thumb, flies tied with a light application of Hard Head should be ready to handle in 15 minutes, and flies tied with a heavy application of Hard Head should be ready to handle in 30 minutes. Either way, we recommend waiting to fish these flies for 12 hours. If you live in an area that experiences extremes with temperature and/or humidity, you may need to adjust these times accordingly.
